Panasonic Y7
Panasonic never stops updating their "toughbook mylets" product line. The latest incarnation of their super light 14 inches notebook, Panasonic Y7, is now equipped with the latest Intel Santa Rosa platform. This include Core2Duo processor 1.4Ghz and memory up to 2Ghz!
The entry level now comes with spacious 80G. There is also 224mb (shared) VRAM, 14 inches LCD displaying SXGA+ (1400 x 1050 resolution), the fantastic 19mm keypitch keyboard, battery life up to 8 hours (based on manufacturer spec).
For its class (14 inches and SXGA+), there are pretty much no contender at all. The quality of the notebook is superb. All toughbook can sustain a 50kg (110 pounds) of weight, as well as a 30cm (11.8 inch) drop, in Panasonic's lab tests. Of course we don't recommend to try it at home :) This what makes them qualified as "semi-rugged" laptops.
With the built-in optical drive, WIFI, 2x USB, VGA and optional docking station, this is a complete feature notebook. The amazing 3.3 lb is something that you will definitely appreciate as soon as you pick it up.
Color choices are: Red, Gun metallic gray, Galaxy black, Deep sea, Metallic light blue, and Silver Feather. Please indicate during checkout when you order custom top color.
